Our Story

When we became parents, we realized how hard it is to find clothes that are truly safe for newborn skin.

Almost many baby clothes had bright dyes that made us question what chemicals touched our baby's delicate skin. We wanted something different — something we could trust from Day 1.

So we created Monkeeys — soft, toxin-free babywear that lets every child grow up surrounded by care.

At Monkeeys, we believe newborns deserve the safest possible fabric from the moment they arrive. That's why every piece we create is:

  • 100% Cotton Muslin — naturally soft, lightweight, and breathable
  • Azo-Free Dyes — no harsh chemicals, just skin-safe colors
  • Thoughtfully Designed — practical for Indian parents, gentle for Indian babies

We don't compromise on safety. We don't use flashy designs that hide poor fabric quality. We keep things simple, honest, and focused on what truly matters — your baby's comfort.

Why Muslin? Why Azo-Free?

Most baby clothes use synthetic fabrics or chemically-treated cotton that can irritate newborn skin. Many hospitals still use rough towels with harsh dyes.

We chose 100% cotton muslin (sourced from GOTS certified vendors) because it's:

  • Ultra-soft and gets softer with every wash
  • Highly breathable, preventing overheating
  • Lightweight yet durable
  • Perfect for India's climate

We use Azo-free, skin-safe dyes because:

  • Conventional dyes contain chemicals that can cause rashes and allergies
  • Azo-free dyes are certified safe for the most sensitive skin
  • Your baby's health matters more than bright, flashy colors

  • Scouring — Removing natural impurities
  • Shrinking — Pre-shrunk for consistent sizing
  • Whitening — Creating our signature milk-white base
  • Skin-Safe Dyeing — Gentle, Azo-free colors
  • Multi-Stage Washing — Stone wash, silicon wash, zero-zero wash, eco wash
  • Careful Finishing — Stitching, ironing, and gift-ready packaging
